No. The source is proprietary and not public. Official Windows `setup.exe` and Linux AppImage are only from https://eg-launcher.xyz/download/. Do not use third-party copies or GitHub forks claiming to be EG Launcher.

Yes. The Windows `setup.exe` is signed with Azure Trusted Signing (publisher Egyéni Vállalkozás). SmartScreen may still warn for a while after a new release. Get it from https://eg-launcher.xyz/download/ only. Do not use third-party setups claiming to be EG Launcher.

Minecraft Offline (Add an Account → Offline, username only) stays on your PC. It is not used to publish packs. There is no instance or mod soft-cap for Offline play — create as many instances and install as many mods as you want. Microsoft is still required for official online Minecraft (Realms / premium servers).

Minecraft Offline = local play name only (no password, no CMS).\nEG Register / Login = community account (same users as the website) for publishing packs and related CMS features.\nMicrosoft = official Minecraft login to play Java Edition.\nIf Community Packs asks you to sign in, use EG Register / Login, not Offline.

EG Launcher uses the device-code Microsoft flow. The browser may show the OAuth app name (historically shared as Prism-style) while you approve the code — that is expected during login. Finish the browser step, return to the launcher, and wait for the account to refresh. If it still fails, retry once or open a ticket with OS + launcher version.

Community packs are modpacks (.egpack) shared by players. Install them in the launcher under Community packs, or download them at https://eg-launcher.xyz/packs/.
To publish you need an EG account (Register / Login in the launcher — not Minecraft Offline). Open an instance → Publish pack, fill in title, descriptions and version, then Submit for review. Mods must come from the mod catalog (no .jar/.exe in the pack; configs, resource packs and shaders up to 500 MB). Staff review every upload. Terms: https://eg-launcher.xyz/terms/
