How community packs work
Download & play
- In EG Launcher open Community packs (left menu), search, and press Install — the launcher creates a new instance and downloads every mod for you.
- Or download the .egpack here and import it: Instances → Import pack.
- Mods are downloaded from the official mod catalog CDN on install, and their SHA-1 hashes are checked.
Publish your pack
- Sign in with your EG account in the launcher (Accounts → EG login — same as this website), then build your instance with mods from the Content tab. Offline Minecraft accounts are for play only.
- Open the instance and press Publish pack (or Community packs → My packs / Publish).
- Fill in the form (see the fields below) and press Submit for review.
- Check the status under My packs: In review → Public, or Rejected with a note from staff. To update, publish again and choose “New version of …”.
What the fields mean
- Title *
- The pack name shown everywhere (3–128 characters).
- Short description *
- One line for the pack card and search results (10–280 characters).
- Description *
- The full page text: what is in the pack, how to play, recommended RAM, credits (at least 30 characters).
- Version *
- Your pack version, e.g. 1.0.0. Every upload needs a new version number.
- Minecraft & loader
- Taken automatically from the instance (e.g. Fabric 1.20.1) and checked against the pack file.
- Changelog
- Optional — what changed in this version.
- Icon
- Optional square image, PNG / JPEG / WebP, max 512 KB.
Rules
- Mods must come from the mod catalog — .jar, .exe, .dll and other executables are not allowed inside the pack.
- Maximum pack size is 500 MB (configs, resource packs, shaders, scripts). Mods do not count — they are downloaded from the mod catalog. Worlds are not included.
- No malware, no stolen or paid content, no NSFW, respect mod licenses.
- Staff can remove packs that break the rules.
Moderation
Every upload (new packs and new versions) goes to the staff queue. Staff install it, check the mods, files and texts, then approve or reject it with a reason. Until a new version is approved, players keep getting the last approved one.
